Abstract
In this book, we focus on applying an agent-based modeling (ABM) approach to study phenomena such as echo chamber and polarization in social media. ABM is one class of computational model to simulate individual agents’ actions and their interaction. It is also known as individual-based modeling in some research field because the modeling focus revolves around the behavior of individual agents. Research fields that commonly use ABM include biology, ecology, and social science.
