Abstract
The research is dedicated to the construction of the vessel's motion in narrows and port waters. The new approach is based on the smooth and continuous sigma functions with variable curvature coefficients. The performance of the suggested model was confirmed by the simulating of the vessel's standard maneuvers and by programming vessel's track on approaching to the berth.
