Abstract
The article presents the methodology research of one-sided fault location determination on extra-high voltage (EHV) lines based on an imitation model in the Simulink / MATLAB software package. The methodology allows sufficiently accurate to test of a fault location determination algorithm, taking into account the known factors influencing the measurement, as well as taking into account the saturation and residual magnetization of current transformers. The presented methodology in this work allows to carry out research of an algorithm with different sampling rates, allows to evaluate the accuracy of investigated algorithms by different methods. The question of the potential application of the fault location determination methods in an electronic unit of a digital current and voltage transformer is considered.
