Abstract
Large, diversified corporations usually combine a significant number of business units, whose goals are set depending on the goals of the corporation, etc. Consequently, there arises the task of comparing the achieved results not only in terms of absolute financial indicators but also relative to each other, at the level of internal benchmarking of the management of business units. The task of an objective assessment of the performance of business units and the competitiveness management of industrial holdings in the military-industrial complex is relevant for the Russian corporations in the face of sanctions and tasks of the diversification, entering new markets, and developing the production and sales of civilian and dual-use products. The paper focuses on the stages of the study and implementation of the rating mechanism according to the results of activities as part of the strategic management and competitiveness system for a diversified industrial corporation. The results of the research can be applied as practical recommendations for updating the strategic management methods and increasing the competitiveness of large corporations and their subsidiaries.
