Abstract

A methodology is proposed to accurately predict the water content in the supercritical gas vapor from the cubic equation of state (CEoS) without the need to calculate the liquid fugacity for the supercritical gas. The van der Waals (vdW) one-fluid mixing rule and our latest development of the advanced CEoS/AE mixing rule are incorporated in Twu−Sim−Tassone (TST) CEoS to investigate their ability in representing simultaneously both the water content in the gas vapor and the gas solubility in the aqueous phase over the application range of temperature and pressure encountered in the natural gas industry.
