Abstract
Three nonparametric curve estimators with information from different sources were introduced by Gerard and Schucany (1996). Here, automatic local bandwidth selection is adapted to local linear estimation with two independent data sets. Consistency results are provided for this bandwidth selection procedure. The asymptotic results are supported by two simulation trials with the proposed data-based local bandwidth selection.
