Abstract
Insufficient interfaces between different software solutions are a major challenge for companies. Surface models used in companies, e.g. in VR programs, cannot simply be converted into volume/ solid models that can be used in CAD. In this case, a time-consuming reconstruction is necessary. Within the scope of this work, a program and procedure for the CAD system CATIA V5 was developed, which makes it possible to automate this reconstruction and thus save a lot of time and effort.
