Abstract

The paper deals with the methodological issues of the implementation of SAP ERP system. First of all, in the context of the project management, the major phases of the SAP projects and the measures necessary for each of them have been classified in the logical sequence for the goal-oriented management of the work of all section of an enterprise. As a result, the road map has been presented in the form of a table. Furthermore, the experience gained on the implementation of SAP ERP systems in the foreign and local enterprises was studied, and the pros and cons of existing strategies of the implementation in this sphere were interpreted as well. Considering the fact that the organization of ERP system in the country’s economy is in the initial stage, the metodical offers on the development of a corporative system of management for Azerbaijani enterprises are presented. Theoretical and practical value of the article lies in the fact that it may be widely used in experience during the implementation of SAP ERP system, as well as while shifting to HANA.
