Abstract
A triple hybrid is created with the use of gene sources of the naked oat Adam and covered oats Rodney and Ulov. The second cross cycle is carried out in F3 hybrid 29-99 (Adam × Rodney E) after screening for absolutely covered genotypes. Elite plants are selected in F4, among which the line 194h06, the variety Medved, is singled out in breeding nursery II (F6). The new variety is midseason maturing with a high yield of grain (up to 8.1 t/ha) and dry matter (up to 10.7 t/ha), large grains (1000 grain weight 41.9 g), weakly susceptible to loose smut against an infectious background and resistant (0% infection) against a natural background.
