Abstract

The previously developed Method of Modal Parameters (MoMP) was applied to calculate the Singularity Expansion Method (SEM) poles of the canonical scattering structure, which is a straight thin wire in free space. SEM poles of the first layer obtained by simplified variant of the method taking into account only diagonal elements of impedance p.u.l. matrix coincides with known result obtained by variation method. For the poles of the first, second, and third layer, good agreement with the literature results obtained using different methods was observed.
