Abstract

The effect of elastically restrained edge conditions on the natural frequencies of axisymmetric vibrations of a uniform circular plate has been studied by employing the method of collocation by derivatives. The frequency parameter has been computed for the first three modes of vibration for various values of the flexibility parameter. The values are found to converge with increasing number of terms in the assumed solution irrespective of the location of points of collocation.
