Abstract
A technique for the vacuum evaporation of layers of SiO, ≈300 Å thick, on metallized and nonmetallized plastic films, 1500–3000 Å thick, is described. We have found that these coated films are excellent substrates for thin uniform radioactive sources and targets in different applications.
