Abstract
1. A study was made of the rates of lithium ferrite formation and carbon dioxide evolution in air, a carbon dioxide atmosphere, and a vacuum at temperatures ranging from 450 to 750°C. 2. It is shown that the method of continuous weight loss monitoring may be employed for studying the kinetics of lithium ferrite powder formation from ferric oxide and lithium carbonate.
