Abstract
A method is discussed for measuring the acoustical characteristics (the input impedance and the complex transmission coefficient) of an element of a waveduct (such as a muffler, a section of conduit with an abrupt change of cross section, ect.) during the flow of a medium with unknow velocity and temperature in the waveduct. The errors of the proposed method and existing waveguide methods are compared.
