Abstract
A simple technique is devised to measure the angles of a spentagon and a hexagon without using expensive pectrometers, autocollimators, and angle gauges. A general technique for measuring the angles of polygons with sides ranging from 5 to 12 is proposed. The technique can be used for carrying out measurements with an autocollimator, when a suitable angle-gauge combination is not available. The method can also be used for both glass and hardened steel polygons with moderate polish.
