Abstract

The article is devoted to the requirements for pavement rutting in force in Russian GOSTs and in some foreign countries. The article considers the methods and techniques for determining the rutting pavement using a computer program on any part of the road, and its parameters, which make it possible to determine the amount of material carried away as a result of abrasion, the thickness of the water layer in the rut during rain and the maximum slopes of the rut walls (left and right). The maximum rutting depth, depending on the speed of movement on the road, is determined in the article. Based on the experimental data obtained, the article concludes that with a rutting depth more than 14 mm, traffic safety cannot be ensured in the rainy weather at speeds over 160 km/h.
