Abstract

In article of the necessity of determination method developed a fact of the γ – radiation influence on fiber optic information transfer systems is justified. The physical phenomena that lead the losses increase during the information transmission to fiber optic communication line under influence to γ – radiation are considered. The results of the research of the influences a gamma irradiation dose of fiber and the reflective coating to the value of optical signal attenuation are presented. The factors that reduce of negative exposure influences of γ – radiation to losses value in fiber optical communication line are determined. The method for determining of exposure fact of γ - radiation on the fiber-optic communication line is developed. The method for dose estimates of γ - radiation exposure on a fiber optic communication line and the recovery of loss parameter values is proposed. The results of experimental research are presented.
