Abstract

Herein, two statistical Equation of States (EoSs), modified Sanchez and Lacombe (SL) and cubic-plus-association (CPA), are implemented to predict methane solubility in different Ionic Liquids (ILs). Density data of each IL is used to determine the parameters of the two EoSs. Reviewing the literature, the most thorough data-bank of the system is provided to validate the model. Our results indicate that implementing the correlative version of these EoSs significantly reduces the Average Absolute Relative Deviation (AARD), approximately by a factor of 50%. Also, the average of the AARD were found to be 9.11% and 8.49% respectively for SL and CPA.
