Abstract

At present, there is not enough research on the design Innovation of Cultural Heritage in the research and protection of Cultural Heritage, which introduces numerous challenges when delivering such perspectives, in which different cognition characteristics, influence the process of information, and acquire knowledge, so the Design Paradigm of Cultural Heritage was put forward based on a theory of Embodied Cognition to standardize and guide the design practice of Cultural Heritage. Firstly, the model of Embodied Cognition for Cultural Heritage is constructed from three dimensions of heritage environment, body constitution, and cognitive activities, and then the specific connotation of the three dimensions of “heritage environment—body constitution—cognitive activities” in the design activity of Cultural Heritage were analyzed, finally the interpretive paradigm, functional paradigm, and innovative paradigm of design for Cultural Heritage are established by referring to the contemporary design theory.
