Abstract
The city of Plattsburg uses 1 1/2 in. to 2 in. (38‐ to 50‐mm) water meters to supply their wholesale customers. They have devised a method of spreading the meter setter apart so that the meter and gaskets can be installed without the usual struggle. This device provides the benefits of easing the service personnel's effort as well as reducing the amount of time and number of staff used to provide this service.
