It is emphasized that consideration of meteor scatter to provide LPI (low probability of intercept) communications must include a complete understanding of the relevant conditions and assumptions. Given these assumptions, trail footprint analysis can be used to predict intercept probability versus receiver location or, similarly, diversity spacing for multiple receivers to optimize link performance. >
