Abstract

The syndrome of constrictive pericarditis may be produced by neoplastic involvement of the pericardium. Such a process should be suspected when the symptoms of predominant right-sided heart failure appear during the course of a malignancy, in the absence of other usual causes of such failure. A case of bronchogenic carcinoma with metastasis to the pericardium demonstrating this condition is reported.
