Abstract

Three case histories of metastatic tumors from the lung to the maxilla, based on a ten-year survey of bronchogenic carcinoma in a Veterans Administration Hospital, are reported. The lesions were all squamous cell carcinomas and were diagnosed after the primary lesion was known and widespread metastasis was evident. Because metastatic lesions can mimic primary oral disease, a thorough clinical and historical evaluation is indispensable for establishing the diagnosis.
