Abstract
For pt.I see ibid., vol.15, p.4155 (1982). The numbers Ns and properties of the zero-temperature metastable states of an infinite-range spin glass with single-ion uniaxial anisotropy are investigated. The 'direct average' (Ns)J over the bond distribution is evaluated, rather than (In Ns)J, leading to results which are exact above a critical energy epsilon c. The phase transitions found in the model by Roberts and Bray (1982) and Cragg and Sherrington (1982) are again present. The Hessian and spin-wave spectra are found to be gapless in all three phases.
