Abstract
In this article I propose the metaphorization process as one of the linguistic mechanisms through which reality is constructed in the daily interactions and communicative actions. I expose an historical development of metaphor's theorization which becomes a socially-situated pragmatic perspective. Finally, I suggest further investigations in order to deepen our knowledge of the rhetoric of everyday life and become aware of the horizontal processes involved in the construction of human experience.
