Abstract

1 kWe Diesel reforming sub-system was successfully developed and has been operated for 1000 hours without significant degradations. Metal-supported solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) was also fabricated up to 10x10 cm2 scale avoiding expansive manufacturing process. Our metal-supported SOFC shows several critical and significant milestones to solve the crucial problems of ceramic-supported SOFC such as sealing and mechanical strength. In this paper performance of Diesel reformer with sulfur and low hydrocarbon remover (i.e. post-reformer) is discussed. Fabrication process of metal-supported cell developed by our group is introduced and critical issues to fabricate are discussed.
