Abstract

In the first case the signals from two CO2 lasers that generated powers up to 150 mW at the R(20) lines were mixed on a point contact. The frequency of the beat signal was maintained at a level of fif = 25 MHz by means of piezoelectric ceramic type KP-I correctors that were joined with the mirrors of the resonators. A relatively high modulating frequency (fm = 2000 Hz) eliminated the contribution of the thermal detection mechanism [3]. The method of fabricating the diode is described in [4].
