Metal organic frameworks as solid catalyst for flow acetalization of benzaldehyde

Abstract

MIL-100(Fe) was the first time used in a continuous flow system. Under the continuous flow, higher catalytic efficiency was achieved than in the batch system, which is attributable to a lower inhibition by products. This method provides a new approach to MOFs applied as heterogeneous catalysts for the synthesis of fine chemicals.
