Abstract

An examination is made of the implications of the metal-nitroxyl dipole-dipole interaction formula for interpretation of EPR spectra of spin labels interacting with paramagnetic transition metals (J. S. Leigh, Jr., J. Chem. Phys. 52, 2608 (1970)) . The impact of the interaction on first-derivative signal amplitudes and on integrated spectral intensity is discussed.
