Abstract

Cylindrical and conical micro- and nanowires were fabricated by matrix (template) synthesis in pores of track membranes. A technique for filling matrix pores with metal (copper, nickel, and silver) was developed. Desorption/ionization of biological molecules from metal micro- and nanowires was experimentally studied.
