Abstract

Die Koordination von Mn(CO)3+ an das Hydrochinon-π-System erleichert die Protonenabgabe bei der Bildung von Benzochinonkomplexen (siehe Bild). Anschließende σ-Koordination des Benzochinon-Sauerstoffatoms an das Metallion führt zu neutralen, ein-, zwei- oder dreidimensionalen chinoiden Polymeren, wobei der sterische Anspruch des Metallions und zusätzliche, als Spacer eingesetzte Liganden den gebildeten Polymertyp bestimmen.
