Abstract

We have newly synthesized Ca 2− x Sr x RuO 4 in the whole region of x: the two-dimensional Mott-transition system which continuously connects the Mott insulating Ca 2RuO 4 with the superconducting Sr 2RuO 4. The metal–insulator transition occurs in Ca rich region by varying either Sr content or temperature.
