Abstract
AbstractThe self‐consistent approximation scheme developed in an earlier paper [1] was evaluated numerically in the stationary point approximation (SPA) and in Hubbard's alloy analogy (AA). The results confirm the occurrence of a Lifshits instability leading to a discontinuous metal‐insulator transition.
