Abstract

Two types of poly-porphyrin-based heterogeneous photocatalysts including insoluble polymer and water-soluble nanoparticles exhibited excellent photocatalytic activity in visible-light-induced dehydrogenation in water. The extremely low catalyst loading (0.01 mol%) of water-soluble nanoparticles provided so far the highest turnover frequency (TOF) value (333 h-1) for such transformation among reported records.
