Abstract

The diastereoselectivity of the Barbier-type crotylation of ( R)-cyclohexylideneglyceraldehyde could be tuned by changing the metal atom and solvent. The Ga-mediated reaction in [bmim][Br] produced the best diastereoselectivity, furnishing the all- anti product in good yield.
