Abstract

Interest to the works of O. Aksinin usually is accompanied by arguments about the epistemological perspectives of his works. The unique embodiment of artistic and metaphysical searches in the artistic practice is characterized by the notion of metagraphics. Metagraphics is a form of thinking, self-awareness of internal experience and reflection of one’s own vision — in one holistic artistic act. There are various, characteristics of his work, including opposite ones: from «graphic Esperanto» with the connotations of «universal art» of V. Khlebnykov, to «individual artistic language», understandable only to the artist himself. To denote the special peculiarities of O. Aksinin’s pieces of art, the category of anesthetics is involved, according to which only art can testify the truth and express, what the philosophy points out indirectly. Textuality, multidimensionality of structures and the constant generation of short-lived meanings in the mind of the viewer by his works, determines the perception of O. Aksinin’s art, as an intellectual «space for escape». This «space» provides flexibility for the plasticity of content at all semantic levels, due to several factors, in particular — the internal experience of the recipient. Therefore, the achievement of the «bottom of the rabbit hole» — or the final deciphering of the artistic work — is not expected.
