Abstract

To differentiate the metabolic potential of common, but lesser studied vaginal Lactobacillus species (L. mulieris, L. paragasseri, and L. iners) and identify metabolites that may contribute to cervicovaginal homeostasis and promote an environment resistant to sexually transmitted infections (STI).
