Abstract

Most individual antipsychotics used in medium‐ and long‐term treatment of schizophrenia resulted in greater weight gain compared with placebo, a network meta‐analysis has found. Drugs that were associated with weight gain also tended to be associated with adverse outcomes in fasting glucose and lipid measures, the investigators reported.
