Abstract

AbstractSuitable glass electrodes can be used to measure the HAMMETT Acidity Function Ho in sulfuric acid/water in the range Ho = −1 to H0 = − 9,6 with a standard deviation of 0.04 H0 unit. It is shown that such glass electrodes respond as a protode in the range H0 = −1 to H0 = −6.
