Abstract

The vector analysing power of the (d, p) stripping reaction was measured with vector polarised deuterons for the nuclei 9Be, 10B, 12C, 16O, 28Si, 40Ca and 90Zr. The measurements were performed at energies, where results for the proton polarisation have been published. The vector analysing powers are compared with the proton polarisations for different l-values and with DWBA predictions. A different behaviour for l = 0 and l ¢ 0 transitions was found.
