Abstract

We investigate the charm-violating weak interaction in the SU(3)'x SU(3) 11 scheme of the three-triplet model and show that it provides a reasonable framework for describing a new type of processes such as indicated by the recent cosmic ray experiment. We also point out that the charm- and hypercharge-conserving coupling between the two SU (3) groups would necessarily destroy isospin in variance and that the interplay of this meso-strong interaction with the weak interaction would give rise to CP violation for strangeness-changing nonleptonic processes.
