Abstract
Invited for the cover of this issue is the group of Yohei Okada at Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology. The image depicts a series of single-benzene fluorophores. Constructing symmetrical push-pull motifs in combination with restricting bond rotations is the key to creating small yet brightly emitting fluorophores.
