Abstract
Advances in science and technology or digital developments are increasingly advanced today, making it easierfor people to get what they want without moving much, this condition is often encountered today. That way aperson's tendency to experience osteoarthritis due to an unhealthy lifestyle is often found. These factors willresult in the development of diseases experienced by the public due to biological, physical, chemical anddegenerative processes. In the case of osteoarthritis is often also referred to as a degenerative disease.Physiotherapy in this case will look at the effect of giving micro wave diathermy in cases of genu osteoarthritisin reducing pain. This research design is a randomized pre and post test group design. The sample in thisstudy was 10 people who experienced genu osteoarthritis and felt pain. The age of the sample in this studywas 40-60 years. The test used to collect pain data in this study was the visual analog scale / VAS. Where thesample is measured its VAS value before (0-session) and after treatment (6 sessions) on each subject. Theresults of the average VAS in the sample experienced a decrease in pain.
