Abstract

Academic mentoring is an essential part of doctoral student education and each program has a different mentoring system for its doctoral students. For this article, the researchers surveyed five key doctoral programs in the field of Educational Technology in China. The findings describe shared characteristics of their mentoring systems from the perspective of the doctoral students. This article also shares with the readers what works well and what needs improvement in those mentoring systems.
