Abstract
Objective The objective is to understand mental health of Guangxi medical staff and influencing factors. Method The self-report symptom inventory (SCL-90) and self-made genral questionnaire were used to survey 4575 samples with involvement of combination of layered-random and group-random. Results The number of positive items and 9 symptom factors scores in SCL-90 were significantly different from norm ( P < 0.01 ).Educational level, grade of organization, location of organization, occupation, section office of working, working years and status of marriage were relevant factors influencing mental health of medical staff. Logistic regression analysis showed that educational level, section office of working and status of marriage were risk factors ( regression coefficient: -0. 220 ~ 0. 118 ). Conclusion Mental health level of medical staff was lower than that of ordinary person ; and it was suggested that third class protection of mental health should be implemented to medical staff.
