Abstract

Since its emergence, the COVID-19 virus has become a global threat. It was declared as a global pandemic by the World Health Organization in January 2020. The mutation of the COVID virus has raised concerns for all the health care professionals and decision makers. These have led the disease burden to rise in unexpected ways. Therefore there will be an increased mental burden on the health care workers, especially the doctors. By the time they got familiar and understood the nature of the virus and were able to treat the COVID patients the second wave of COVID has aroused in India. This has led to the need to study the mental health of the doctors. This study hence focuses on first to analyze the feelings, thoughts, and well-being of doctors, second to identify the practical adjustments made by doctors in COVID times. Based on the objectives, the researcher has statistically tested the hypothesis using correlation analysis. Apart from the hypotheses there were other relationships which are statistically analyzed and presented in the form of graphs. The sampling method used for this study was stratified random sampling. Since the respondents were doctors, it was difficult for the researcher to make the respondents answer the Google form. Hence, the sample size was 46. This was the limitation of the study.
