Abstract

Less than two weeks ago, a whirlwind of activity occurred among advocates and lawmakers around efforts to protect mental health and substance use disorder coverage. The American Psychological Association (APA), the National Association for Behavioral Healthcare, the Federation of American Hospitals, the National Association of Addiction Treatment Providers, and state attorneys general representing Connecticut, Illinois and Rhode Island have all taken action and submitted amicus briefs in order to reverse an overturned ruling in the landmark Wit v. United Behavioral Health (UBH) case.
