Mental health and social sequelae of a rare condition: erythromelalgia

Abstract

Rare medical conditions present significant challenges to medical professionals in their ability to diagnose, refer appropriately, and offer timely treatment and support. These challenges are made more difficult and daunting in cases of rare conditions with no effective specific treatment, making the need for holistic approach to management and support more important. This article presents a case of a patient with a rare condition – erythromelalgia.
