Abstract

Abstract Because of the value of wood from exotic forests in New Zealand and the intensity with which these forests are managed, it is essential that highly sophisticated mensurational systems be available. The New Zealand Forest Service is carrying out a concerted effort to synthesize existing mensurational knowledge, to develop new methods where gaps exist, and to make comprehensive systems readily available to forest managers.
