Abstract

Migraines are severe headaches that cause debilitating pain. At least half the women that experience migraines report that the occurrence corresponds to their menstrual cycle. This is the case of a 38 year-old female with debilitating menstrual migraines lasting thirteen years due to Liver blood deficiency with qi and blood stagnation. After treatment including acupuncture, Chinese herbs, and extensive diet therapy, she has almost completely recovered.
